Systematic Biological Upgrade of a Urea Fertilizer Effluent Treatment Plant Using GPS

The use of modeling and simulation has developed into a critical tool for the sustainable management wastewater, especially when it comes to replicating complex biochemical procedures required fertilizer effluent treatment, which calls significant amount wastewater-related data. biological improvement urea via GPS* was carried out in this work using methodical process. Using established analytical techniques, temperature, total suspended solids (TSS), oxygen demand (BOD), phosphorus (T/), chemical (COD), nitrogen (TN), nitrate (NO3), electric conductivity (EC), turbidity, residual chlorine, urea, NH3, heavy metals (Cu, Cd, Cr, Pb, Ni, Fe) were assessed. research revealed that measured values from factory outfall had high concentrations all physicochemical water quality indicators, with exception TSS, PO4-, SO4-, NO3-. These are higher compared authorized limits or suggested by Federal Environmental Protection Agency (FEPA). To improve therapy biologically, however, program (GPS-X, version 8.0) used information gathered studied sample. results treated showed BOD5 COD been significantly reduced 35% 44%, respectively.
